Indian Recalls Three Years of Models Due to Potential Fire Hazard

December 2016: Indian Motorcyclea has issued a recall for 23,766 Indian Chief Dark Horse, Classic, Vintage, Chieftain Dark Horse, Chieftain, Roadmaster and the newly launched model Springfield. manufactured between April 15, 2013 and July 15, 2016. The reason for the recall is a defect in the fuel rail system that possibly can come into contact with adjacent components due to vibrations and could possibly result in a fuel fire. Indian Recalls Scout for Brake Problem

Indian Motorcycle Company (Indian) is recalling certain model year 2015 Scout motorcycles manufactured May 12, 2014, to February 13, 2015. Due to a problem with the rear brake master cylinder, the motorcycles may have a reduction in, or a complete loss of, rear brake power.  According to documents filed with NHTSA, Indian Motorcycle Company believes that 2 to 4% of the vehicles in the field are affected by this issue.
