CUSTOMIZED CHOPPER EXPECTED TO BRING AS HIGH AS $1 MILLION DOLLARS UP FOR BIDS OCTOBER 18TH
The auctioneers gavel will fall on the last remaining customized Captain America chopper used in the 1969 movie “Easy Rider.” The auction is set for October 18th in Calabasas California. Michael Eisenberg, a California businessman who once co-owned a Los Angeles motorcycle-themed restaurant with Peter Fonda and “Easy Rider” co-star Dennis Hopper is selling the bike. Eisenberg bought it from Dan Haggerty, (Grizzly Adams) who says he was given the bike by Fonda and Hopper after shooting wrapped up. This is one of four identical Capt. America painted choppers used in filming the movie. The other three were stolen before the movie was released and are presumed to have been “chopped” and sold for parts.
