Former Club Member Arrested For Alleged Threats Against Wife and School

According to a report in the New York Daily News, Indiana Police are taking no chances in the wake of the recent violence at a Connecticut school and have arrested Von. I. Meyer, 60, of Lake County Indiana after he allegedly threatened to set his wife ablaze and “kill as many people as he could” at an elementary school near his home. Police say the Jane Ball Elementary school is located less than 1000 feet from Meyer’s residence.
Police say they seized 47 gun, most of them collector’s items and a few rounds of ammunition.
Observers are saying that Meyers wife could be using the Sandy Hook shootings and the uncorroborated threat to harm nearby school children to force police to give the case a higher level of attention than they might ordinarily give this case. Unconfirmed reports say the couple have a history of domestic disputes, and sources say police have been to the residence previously.
(UPDATED INFO) Police initially said Meyer was “a known member of the Invaders Motorcycle Club,” but later said Meyer is not an active member, although he was affiliated with it in his youth.
