Police Seek Individual Suspected of Firing At Police

Police are searching for Kevin Vaughn, who shown here has a tattoo of the word "Hatred" tattooed across his forehead in connection with an incident in which shots were fired in the vicinity of officers serving a search warrant Thursday at a home where police found guns and evidence of an auto-theft ring, according to an article in the Seattle Times.

Tukwila Police Cmdr. Eric Drever said officers and detectives from a regional auto-theft task force, including agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), had gathered early Thursday to arrest Vaughn on felony burglary and auto-theft charges, as well as serve a search warrant on a home in the 14900 block of 51st Avenue South in Tukwila.

As they gathered to serve the warrant about 5:30 a.m., Drever said, two motorcycles approached the area on southbound Interstate 5, slowed down on an offramp overlooking the area, and opened fire with handguns.

No one was injured and police say they did not find any bullet strikes, so it is unclear if the shots were fired at the officers, or in the air.
