BMW Motorrad has put a renewed focus on the 2026 R 12 nineT Option 719, presenting a heritage package inspired by one of its most recognizable 1970s models, according to coverage from Cycle News.
The centerpiece of the roadster is its Lava Orange Metallic finish, which serves as a direct reference to the classic BMW R 90 S Daytona Orange. Built for retro roadster and cafe-racer riders, the bike pairs that vintage colorway with high-end factory parts.
The motorcycle is built on BMW's air- and oil-cooled 1,170cc twin boxer engine platform. The powertrain breathes through a dual exhaust system and is supported by modern electronic rider aids, including ride modes, modern antilock brakes, and cornering traction control.
The Option 719 package also outfits the R 12 nineT with distinct factory-custom components. The trim level features milled Shadow billet aluminum trim pieces, spoked Option 719 Classic II wheels, and a solo-seat configuration.
BMW Motorrad highlighted the machine as an example of its ongoing commitment to producing factory-custom heritage models equipped with modern chassis electronics and performance.
