BMW Motorrad Takes Equity Stake in Electric Off-Road Manufacturer Venna

BMW Motorrad announced in Munich on October 29, 2026, that it has acquired an equity stake in Venna, a Slovenian developer specializing in high-performance electric off-road motorcycles.

Venna, previously known as Flux Performance, engineered the Flux Primo electric dirt bike platform. The powertrain delivers 85 horsepower (63 kW) and relies on a 7 kWh swappable battery pack designed for off-road use.

Reports published by THE PACK and MCNews indicate that Venna will continue to operate as an independent brand following the transaction. The strategic equity investment allows the startup to tap into BMW Motorrad's established supply chain scale, industrialization network, and engineering resources.

The collaboration aims to accelerate production-level engineering and factory backing for Venna's motocross and trail motorcycle technology while retaining the firm's dedicated brand identity.
