BMW Motorrad officially unveiled the M 1000 RS at EICMA 2026, presenting the motorcycle as the most powerful production hyper naked in the world. Global production will be limited to 1,000 numbered units, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in spring 2027.
The machine borrows its 999cc ShiftCam inline-four engine directly from the M 1000 RR superbike. According to BMW Motorrad, the WorldSBK-derived powerplant delivers 218 horsepower at 14,500 rpm and 113 Nm of torque, pairing full superbike output with an upright street riding position.
Kerb weight is listed at 196 kg (432 lbs). BMW achieved that figure by fitting carbon-fiber bodywork, M Carbon wheels, and titanium hardware. The chassis setup also includes standard carbon fiber aerodynamic winglets and Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) electronic suspension.
BMW Motorrad announced an MSRP of approximately €40,000 for the limited-edition motorcycle ahead of its planned spring 2027 rollout.
