Carey Hart and Crew Built a One-Off Indian Sport Chief Live at IMTS

Carey Hart, Big B, Satya Kraus, and Schultz Designz came together at the International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago to transform an Indian Sport Chief live in the Kennametal booth, building, painting, and customising it in real time.
The build ran through IMTS week, September 14 to 19, 2026. Hart, in his first public appearance as a WIDIA brand ambassador, joined Kraus, CEO and creative engineer of Kraus Moto, to machine custom components on a 5-axis CNC machine using Kennametal and WIDIA tooling. Taylor Schultz of Schultz Designz finished the bike with a custom paint scheme.
The finished one-off wears matte black paint with gold pinstriping, the classic Indian headdress logo on the tank, and a Hart Luck exhaust, shown on a Handy lift in front of the Kennametal wall.
The completed motorcycle was the centerpiece of an exclusive Kennametal giveaway, with one IMTS attendee taking home the finished build.
