Ducati Motor Holding has officially introduced the 2027 Monster Dark, presenting a stripped-down edition of its liquid-cooled naked roadster. Positioned as an accessible, purist entry point into the Monster lineup, the model is priced below the standard Monster and revives a nameplate dating back to the 1990s.
The motorcycle is powered by Ducati's 890cc 90-degree V2 engine. The twin produces 111 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 91.1 Nm (67.1 lb-ft) of torque at 7,250 rpm. Ducati pairs the engine with an aluminum monocoque front frame, resulting in a dry weight of 175 kg (386 lbs) without fuel.
Chassis hardware includes Showa suspension and Brembo M4.32 brakes, along with cornering ABS as standard equipment.
To achieve the Dark model's aesthetic and lower price target, Ducati equipped the motorcycle with an all-black livery, matte black bodywork, black alloy wheels, and a single-material seat. The model also features unpainted fairing accents, an unpainted front subframe, raw finishes on the intake snorkels and exhaust end caps, and static turn signals.
According to Ducati, international dealership deliveries for the Monster Dark are scheduled to begin in November 2026.
