Harley-Davidson Brings Back the Super Glide as a 2,500-Unit Limited Edition

Harley-Davidson has brought back the Super Glide, 55 years after the original factory custom launched in 1971.
The 2026 Super Glide is a limited-edition Special Edition celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States. Production is capped at 2,500 individually serialized motorcycles, with each bike's number on the fuel tank console. It is offered only in the United States and Canada.
The tribute runs deep: White Onyx Pearl paint with red and blue striping and a stretched Bar and Shield tank graphic, reprising the 1971 FX Super Glide styled by Willie G. Davidson. The 1971 original combined a Big Twin FL chassis with a narrow XL Sportster fork; the 2026 bike rides on Harley's Softail chassis instead.
Bright laced wheels, a five-gallon teardrop fuel tank topped with a chrome console, and a chrome mini-ape handlebar set the look, with chrome across the powertrain trim, air cleaner cover, exhaust, side covers, fender struts, signals, and headlamp. The controversial boattail rear from 1971 does not return; a clipped rear fender and low two-up seat take its place.
Power comes from the Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic V-Twin, 1,923cc, with a claimed 98 horsepower and 120 lb-ft of torque. Selectable ride modes cover Road, Sport, and Rain, and Rider Safety Enhancements include cornering ABS, traction control, drag torque slip control, and tire pressure monitoring. The rear monoshock hides under the seat to keep the hardtail look.
The 2026 Super Glide carries an MSRP of $15,999.
