Honda Recalls Fury and Shadow Motorcycles Over Fuel Pump Defect

Honda Fury

American Honda has issued a stop sale and recall on certain 2023 through 2025 Fury motorcycles and certain 2024 through 2025 Shadow motorcycles. The problem is a bad batch of fuel pumps from a supplier.

About 4,206 bikes are affected: 820 Furys and 3,386 Shadows. Worn equipment on the supplier's assembly line let debris get into the pumps. A bad pump can quit without warning, which means the bike stalls or will not start at all.

Honda reports 48 warranty claims tied to the defect as of late September. No injuries or deaths have been reported.

The fix is a free fuel pump replacement at any Honda dealer. The NHTSA campaign number is 26V633. You can check your VIN right now at NHTSA.gov. Honda starts mailing owner letters on November 27.

Honda says the production problem was corrected on September 9, 2026, so bikes built after that date are not part of the recall.

If you ride a Fury or Shadow from those years, check your VIN before your next ride. A stall at speed is the kind of surprise nobody needs.
