Honda Updates 2027 CBR600RR With Fireblade Brakes and Integrated Aerodynamics

American Honda Motor Co. announced updates for the 2027 CBR600RR supersport motorcycle on October 21, 2026. The middleweight machine receives upgraded braking hardware, an updated electronic control module, a larger dashboard, and revised bodywork aerodynamics, while retaining its high-revving engine.

Front stopping power is updated with radial-mount four-piston Nissin calipers taken directly from the flagship CBR1000RR-R Fireblade. The calipers operate with a Fireblade-derived ABS control module featuring three settings: Street, Track, and Race modes.

For rider controls and instrumentation, Honda replaced the previous 4.2-inch display with a 5-inch full-color TFT unit. Aerodynamically, the fairing bodywork has been refined. The previously separate winglets are now redesigned as integrated internal front spoilers located directly beneath the headlights to enhance stability.

These component and electronic upgrades aim to provide track-focused performance improvements for middleweight supersport racers, track-day enthusiasts, and sport riders without modifying the motorcycle's engine output.
