Indian Trims Scout Lineup to Six Models for 2027, Per EPA Filings

Indian looks set to cut its Scout range down to six models and trims for 2027, according to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency certification data. The EPA has certified the 2027 Scout family as the 101 Scout, the Scout Bobber, the Scout Bobber Limited, the Sport Scout Limited, the Super Scout Limited, and the Scout Sixty Bobber. That is down from 15 variations for 2026 and 17 for 2025, when the lineup combined five 1,250cc SpeedPlus variants with three 999cc Scout Sixty models across standard, Limited, and Limited +Tech trims.
Reading the certification list, the +Tech trims appear to be gone, leaving three Limited models, and the Scout Classic and Sport Scout RT variations appear discontinued outright. The smaller-displacement range would shrink to just the Scout Sixty Bobber. The EPA certification does not describe what each trim includes, so whether +Tech features get folded into the Limited trim is not confirmed in the filing.
The move fits what Indian's new chief executive, Mike Kennedy, hinted at during an online press briefing in February, when he talked about simplifying the product range. He said it would be easier for riders to shop, easier for dealers to manage, and make the company more responsive as a manufacturer. Note this is based on EPA certification, not an Indian announcement of the 2027 lineup, so the final range could still shift before Indian confirms it.
