New Traffic Light at Panama City Beach Harley-Davidson Comes Just in Time for Fall Rally Week

Panama City Beach, FL — Riders rolling in for next week's Thunder Beach Fall Rally (Wednesday, Oct 21 – Sunday, Oct 25) will find a welcome sight on US-98: a brand-new traffic light in front of Harley-Davidson of Panama City Beach.
A safer way in and out
According to local riders, the light went up to make it easier — and safer — to get in and out of the dealership at 14700 Panama City Beach Parkway. Anyone who's tried to hang a left out of that lot across Back Beach Road traffic knows exactly why it was needed. With thousands of bikes about to flood the area for rally week, the timing couldn't be better.
But 98 is still a work zone
Don't expect smooth sailing everywhere. Construction on Back Beach Road (US-98) is still very much active. The Florida Department of Transportation's $110 million widening project — stretching the road to three lanes in each direction over 4.8 miles — isn't scheduled to wrap up until late 2027. More than 55,000 vehicles a day use that corridor, and shifting lanes are part of daily life out there right now.
Rally-week riding tips
If you're riding in: give yourself extra time on 98, watch for changing lane patterns, and take advantage of that new light when you swing by the dealership. Ride safe — and come see us. Biker Nation will be set up at Frank Brown Park all week.
