NOVUS Secures Funding for 2027 US Electric Motorcycle Launch

German electric motorcycle manufacturer NOVUS announced on October 19, 2026, that it has raised a double-digit million-dollar funding round to prepare for its entry into the United States market in 2027.

According to reporting from Electrek, the investment will support distribution and commercial efforts for the company's production model, the NOVUS One. The motorcycle is built around an open carbon fiber monocoque chassis and weighs 121 kilograms (267 pounds).

Propulsion comes from a hub-mounted drivetrain rated at a peak output of 25 kilowatts (33 horsepower) and 430 Nm of torque. The lightweight frame design houses the structural components directly, avoiding a traditional multi-piece tubular or cast chassis layout.

NOVUS started European customer deliveries earlier in 2026. The new capital is designated to establish the brand's American presence, with U.S. customer distribution scheduled to follow in 2027.
