ProTaper Renews Multiyear Handlebar Deal With Husqvarna
Share
Husqvarna and ProTaper are sticking together on the assembly line. Under a newly renewed multiyear agreement, ProTaper will continue supplying original equipment handlebars and bar pads for select Husqvarna dirt bikes.
The contract focuses directly on the manufacturer competition lineup. Select 250cc and 450cc motocross and cross-country machines will continue to roll off European factory assembly lines with ProTaper components installed as standard equipment.
ProTaper, which operates under Turn 14 Powersports, has a deep history with the motorcycle builder. This latest contract extension maintains an original equipment collaboration that has spanned nearly two decades between the two off-road powersports brands.
By fitting the handlebars and protective pads during new machine assembly at the factory, Husqvarna ensures that the setup is ready before the bikes ever ship out to dealer showrooms.
Why Riders Should Care
Replacing stock handlebars is often one of the first tasks riders tackle after bringing home a new dirt bike. Handlebars are a crucial contact point, and base factory units on some machines leave riders looking for stronger aftermarket options right away.
This renewed supply agreement means buyers of select Husqvarna 250cc and 450cc competition motorcycles will continue to receive premium aftermarket-grade controls straight off the showroom floor. Riders get proven components straight from the crate without needing an immediate cockpit upgrade before their first ride.
Biker Nation Perspective
When motorcycle manufacturers work with established control brands on the assembly line, riders win. Maintaining high-grade equipment as a factory standard keeps money in your pocket and cuts down on garage prep time, letting owners focus on riding instead of immediate parts replacements.
