Spain's Tamarit Motorcycles Wins Triumph Originals 2026

Spain's Tamarit Motorcycles has won Triumph Originals 2026, Triumph's global custom competition.

Quique Berna's team beat six other finalists, taking 33 percent of the public vote and the top score from the international judging panel with its Scrambler 400 XC.

The competition drew builders from Canada, China, France, Italy, Spain, the UK, and the USA, each creating a one-off Time Capsule Scrambler inspired by a defining era from the model's history. Thousands of enthusiasts voted, and the public vote was combined with scores from a judging panel led by Triumph Chief Product Officer Steve Sargent, alongside Chase McQueen, author Eric Hendricx, FUEL magazine founder Rolf Henniges, and Fonk Motorcycles co-founder Satoshi.

Sargent said the Tamarit bike captures the spirit of the Time Capsule brief in a really original way, with an exceptionally high standard of design, engineering, and execution. McQueen praised its desert-racer attitude, saying it looks light, tall, and ready, more race bike than custom.

Berna said the team has been building time capsules from the very beginning, aiming for heritage bikes whose essence gets frozen, then reawakened years later, untouched by time.
