Toprak Razgatlıoğlu Sidelined for Remainder of 2026 MotoGP Season to Undergo Shoulder Surgery

Prima Pramac Yamaha has confirmed that rookie rider Toprak Razgatlıoğlu will miss the final five rounds of the 2026 MotoGP championship to undergo surgery on his shoulder.

The three-time World Superbike Champion sustained the injury during a crash at the Indonesian Grand Prix in Mandalika. Medical evaluations conducted after the incident revealed severe shoulder damage that requires surgical intervention, bringing an early end to his rookie premier-class campaign.

Razgatlıoğlu is scheduled to have surgery on his shoulder on October 26 in Milan, Italy. The necessary recovery time will keep him off the grid for the remaining five events on the calendar, including the Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island.

Yamaha test rider Augusto Fernandez will step into the Prima Pramac seat in place of Razgatlıoğlu to finish out the 2026 championship.
