Triumph Motorcycles has announced a restructuring of its global road racing program, selecting British outfit Renegade as its primary official factory team for the 2027 FIM Supersport World Championship.
The factory effort will center on the development and homologation of the all-new Street Triple 798 RS. Running as Renegade Triumph Factory Racing, the team will field the 798cc machine to replace the existing Street Triple 765 RS platform. Triumph has scheduled a formal public unveiling of the Street Triple 798 RS for November 17, 2026.
For street riders, the development of the 798cc competition platform points to imminent displacement and performance increases arriving on production showroom models.
The manufacturer is also altering its existing paddock lineup. Longtime collaborator PTR Triumph Racing will transition into a factory-supported role. Working alongside Czech-based Compos Racing, the two squads will expand Triumph's total grid presence in WorldSSP.
