Triumph Reveals 2027 Bonneville T40 as Part of Four-Bike Fall Lineup

Triumph Motorcycles has officially pulled the wraps off the 2027 Bonneville T40 and T40 Black. The new motorcycle introduces the historic Bonneville nameplate to the 400cc category, serving as the lead machine in a series of four major reveals planned before the close of the year.

The T40 is the very first Bonneville model powered by Triumph's 398cc TR-Series single-cylinder engine, which has been tuned specifically to deliver low-end torque. The bike pairs classic twin-shock styling and hand-lined paint with a substantial suite of modern electronics.

Standard equipment on the new model includes cruise control, traction control, lean-sensitive cornering ABS, and a round 4-inch TFT display. Riders will also have the choice of the standard T40 or the darkened T40 Black trim.

This release marks only the beginning of Triumph's late-season rollout. The brand confirmed three additional model unveilings before the end of the year. Next on the calendar is an updated Tiger 1200 scheduled for reveal on October 27, followed by the Street Triple 798 on November 17.

Why Riders Should Care

Modern classic enthusiasts can now access iconic Bonneville styling on a lightweight platform without giving up advanced rider aids. Features like standard cruise control and lean-sensitive cornering ABS provide safety and convenience tech rarely found standard in this displacement class. The new machine is scheduled to arrive in US dealerships in early 2027.

Biker Nation Perspective

Putting the Bonneville badge on a 398cc single marks a notable step for Triumph. Combining traditional styling and premium rider aids in an approachable package offers riders an authentic modern classic experience, while the upcoming Tiger and Street Triple announcements ensure a busy fall for the brand.
