Triumph Reveals 2027 Tiger 1200 With Front Radar and Refined Triple Engine

Triumph Motorcycles has officially introduced the updated 2027 Tiger 1200, adding front-facing radar assistance and chassis updates to its flagship adventure motorcycle. The manufacturer designated October 27, 2026, for the global unveiling, which serves as the second stage of a multi-bike rollout leading up to the EICMA motorcycle exhibition.

At the center of the update is a revised version of Triumph's 1,200cc T-plane three-cylinder engine. While displacement remains unchanged, Triumph refined the power output to deliver smoother torque at low engine speeds. The mechanical updates also reduce low-speed engine vibrations, designed to improve low-speed throttle control and reduce fatigue during long-distance rides.

Alongside the powertrain revisions, the 2027 Tiger 1200 incorporates front radar detection hardware. The radar system introduces active rider assistance technology to the Tiger range. Working in tandem with the electronic safety aids is an upgraded semi-active suspension system, which actively adjusts damping behavior to support both high-speed paved touring and off-pavement riding.

The Tiger 1200 remains Triumph's direct counter to large-displacement competitors such as the BMW R 1300 GS and the Harley-Davidson Pan America. By packaging radar safety aids, active suspension upgrades, and smoother low-end power delivery, the updated platform targets adventure riders looking for long-haul highway comfort and versatile off-road capability.
