When You're Hauling Meth, You Probably Shouldn't Run From the Cops

BUG TUSSLE, Ala. (AP) — Authorities say they have arrested a Bremen man after a motorcycle chase ended with the recovery of over 100 grams of methamphetamine in Cullman County.

News outlets report 33-year-old Robert Calvin Mullins was arrested Saturday in Bug Tussle and charged with multiple offenses including trafficking meth, attempting to elude and unlawful possession. Mullins also had an outstanding first-degree theft warrant.

Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry says the motorcycle chase started after deputies attempted to pull Mullins over for speeding. After the chase, Mullins crashed and hid in the woods.

A sheriff's office tracking dog found Mullins, who was in possession of over 100 grams of meth.

It's not clear if Mullins has an attorney.
