Thousands of motorcycles line up outside Century II in downtown Wichita for the Wichita Toy Run

47th Annual Wichita Toy Run Draws Over 1,000 Riders for Holiday Charity

More than 1,000 motorcyclists took to the streets on Sunday, November 1, 2026, for the 47th Annual Wichita Toy Run. The event gathered holiday gifts and monetary donations to assist local children and families ahead of the winter holidays.

Participants staged in downtown Wichita at Douglas Avenue and McLean Boulevard, assembling near Century II ahead of the ride. From there, local law enforcement escorted the column of motorcycles north toward Park City, concluding the procession at the Heartland Credit Union Arena.

Managing the ride required traffic coordination between municipal and state authorities. Officials closed thoroughfares along the route, including sections of Douglas Avenue and North Broadway, as well as highway access ramps on Interstate 235, to allow the pack to travel through without cross-traffic interruption.

First held in 1980, the Wichita Toy Run has operated for nearly five decades as one of the Midwest's longest-running motorcycle charity events. All toys, goods, and monetary proceeds collected during the ride are distributed to the Salvation Army, the Kansas Food Bank, and USMC Toys for Tots.
