Federal Jury Convicts Two Former Pagan's MC Members in Missouri Racketeering Trial

A federal jury in Missouri has convicted two former members of the Pagan's Motorcycle Club on violent felony charges stemming from targeted attacks against rival motorcycle club riders, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Missouri announced.

Charles E. Smith Jr., known as "Crash," of Kansas City, and John Travis Fisher, known as "T-Bone," of Mannford, Oklahoma, were found guilty following an investigation carried out by the FBI and local Missouri police departments.

Prosecutors established that the defendants took part in coordinated armed assaults in September 2022. The incidents took place in Topeka, Kansas, and Blue Springs, Missouri. During the violence, a lone rival club member was run off the road, beaten, and shot seven times.

Smith was convicted of assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence. Fisher was convicted of attempted assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering.

Under federal sentencing guidelines, Smith faces a statutory maximum penalty of life in federal prison without parole. Fisher faces a statutory maximum penalty of up to three years in prison.
