Honda unveiled a comprehensive redesign of its flagship adventure motorcycle at EICMA 2026, renaming the platform the CRF1150L. According to information released on Honda's global corporate site, the 2027 model range receives an enlarged engine, a lighter frame, and a lower center of gravity.
Displacement on the parallel-twin engine grows from 1,084cc to 1,131cc. The updated engine produces 119 horsepower, reflecting an increase of roughly 16.5 percent, and generates 119 Nm of torque.
Honda expanded the platform into three specific variants for 2027: the standard CRF1150L, the long-range Adventure Sports, and an off-road-focused Enduro Sports model.
The CRF1150L Adventure Sports serves as the launch platform for new rider-assistance technology, becoming the first Honda motorcycle fitted with the Honda SENSING RIDE radar system. Meanwhile, the new CRF1150L Enduro Sports variant drops over 9 kilograms by substituting Showa mechanical suspension in place of semi-active electronic components.
