Kawasaki Introduces Six-Year Factory Warranty on Street Motorcycles

Kawasaki Motors has expanded its factory warranty coverage to six years with unlimited mileage for all new street-legal motorcycles purchased through authorized dealerships. The updated policy took effect on November 1, 2026, following an official announcement on October 29, 2026.

According to details released by Kawasaki Motors Europe, the program replaces the manufacturer's previous four-year coverage term. The policy change delivers a 50 percent increase in factory backing duration while keeping mileage unrestricted throughout the full six-year timeframe.

The extended terms apply automatically to incoming 2027 model-year machines as well as unregistered, unsold dealer inventory already sitting in showrooms. Kawasaki stated that the broader protection carries no added charge for retail customers and does not raise retail pricing on eligible motorcycles.

Factory warranty length directly impacts long-term maintenance expenses for everyday commuters and long-distance touring riders, while also helping support resale values when motorcycles change hands on the secondary market.
