On October 30, 2026, Sena Technologies announced an ecosystem-wide shift to a swappable, replaceable battery platform for its motorcycle communication systems.
The updated architecture directly targets long-distance rally and touring riders who run through battery power during 10- to 12-hour days in the saddle. By allowing riders to swap out depleted battery packs on the go, the system eliminates the need for corded charging stops on the road. The replaceable design also addresses long-term hardware life, preventing riders from having to dispose of an entire communicator once the internal battery cells degrade.
Alongside the hardware redesign, Sena revealed three new communicators slated for EICMA 2026. The new 60XR features Sound by Bose acoustic tuning paired with an ergonomic thumbwheel dial for interface control.
The company also introduced the 60C, which supports simultaneous communication alongside an integrated 4K video camera. For riders wearing open-face and three-quarter helmets, Sena unveiled the MOVEX communicator, which features audio tuned by Harman Kardon.
